Hope this helps! Didn't have to use console commands either. Looking back at previous edits, you had to target the companion in the console and use the additem command on them, rather than giving it to yourself as theyre apparently untradeable.
If you can find a settlement with pre-equipped crafting stations, beds, food, water, or defenses, it would be preferable, but the only real requirement is that it is spacious enough to fit around 15 NPCs. Try going back to Cooke if you think you did this. There are a ton of empty settlements in Fallout 4.What youll need to do to kick off companion organization is find one of these settlements. Then it'll just default them to that location. Not if you've sent them anywhere else before, no. Instead, cancel that screen and they'll go back where you found them. EDIT: I posted this to the fallout forumsĮDIT: I believe i found a fix!!! Its a spoiler about a quest in Diamond city, hover over it! When I tried to talk to curie in vault 81 I had a dialogue come up that was about Henry Cooke asking about ambushing a chem deal, (a quest) I finished the dialogue (accepted the quest) and it all worked again! I believe the glitch happens when you have a important dialogue you walked away from/didn't finish, because I remember pressing I have some questions then walking away. PSA: FO4 To send your companion back to their original location, don't select a settlement when dismissing them.
2) Unzip the More Where That Came From Archive into your Fallout 4 folder, maintaining the file structure. When it came to the screen where i send him to a settlement i accidentally hit CIRCLE that cancelled the conversation and a notification popped up that said Nick was going back to the Detective Agency. So, once i added his perk i wanted to dismiss him.
1) If you have Nexus Mod Manager, activate this mod and youre done. Once I picked up Nick as a companion he stayed w/ me all the way up until i received his perk.
Any of you have any ideas how to fix this? I cant roll back saves at this point, I have about 15 hours in since It started. Note: You can only use one companion mod at a time, but feel free to switch between them, or use neither. Fallout 4 is regarded as one of the best open world RPGs you can play and the culmination of everything the Fallout series has been building to since the first game was released. I think this happened after I romanced piper if that has anything to do with it? I had to reload a save to get a companion out of power armor at one point. When I walk up to a companion and press "e" to command, when I click talk I just hear the click error sound, and no dialogue or anything comes up.This happens with all of them. Banished, the protagonist wanders off into the wastes, exiled from the very community they gave everything to protect. Thats actually something Im a bit confused about though It seemed to me that Fallout 4 covered the whole story of what life was like before the bombs hit, and how certain people wound up chosen to go into the vaults, frozen until they were let out into the Wasteland many, many years later. I am unable to "talk" to my companions now. I uploaded me trying to talk to piper on youtube.
